Thanks Giving Break prt 1 Lake Tahoe!

The first part of my time with the McKay's. A crazy story how we met up. I was planning on going to Arcata on the cost line for Thanksgiving but the Lord closed the doors so I went with a friend from School to visit his family. I told them that I was in the Sacramento area and they told me it was 45 mins away. And we set a date for them to pick me up. Well the night before they went to pick me up I went to spend a night at my friend, Brandon's aunts house. I emailed them to let them know where i was going to be at. Dave called me a few hours later all excited and asked me if I knew where they lived...i replied that i didn't and he told me that it was just a few mins away from where they lived! It was so crazy how God set it all up! So they took me up to Lake Tahoe for the day...what an awesome adventure! Just that it was a cloudy day so we couldnt see the lake very well...We went right into the boarder of Nevada!
the McKay's an awesome family!
We ate at Hard Rock Cafe! They couldnt believe that I never heard of the "Rolling Stones" while there....
a beautiful place!
...............cold.......brrrrrrr.......
while up in the mountains it snowed a little!
it was soo nice!

Oct/Nov Update!

Hey all!! Wow, it has been a while since I last updated...and sooo much has happened the last few months that it seems like it has been years since I have last updated...does any have that happen to you??

Well, in my last update I mentioned that I was going to California to Study at a Bible School. I had an interesting adventure that I will never forget and how I got here and God literally "held the walls of the water up for me to pass through on dry land".

I have learned so much and it has been such an awesome experience being out here and sitting in on the classes and putting to practice what we learn!

Another reason I haven't been updating is because I don't have a camera at this time to take pictures and update the blog. But! My parents and Lolly came to the States a month ago and Grandpa Godshalk, my Mom's Dad paid for them to come out and see me!! It was such a blessing to have them here and I didn't realize how much I missed home!
All sorts of goodies brought from home and Florida...it felt like an early Christmas
Lolly and I out in, Whiskytown...ehehhe...we didnt have any whisky though...=P
making memories...=)
California is really pretty place...but a bit to cold for my taste..I will be glad once spring is here!!
........
me having fun with the camera...
Dad and I...my hero..=)
.....
Lolly just got her driver's license while in Florida...she was all excited to get to drive around but Mom is hanging on to dear life...ehhe..
Having supper...
After church...
Mom, Me and Dad...
When I first got here I was totally lost with what to buy for food and everything! I missed the Brazilian food at home...So i started to make rice like home but burnt the rice the first time cuz i wasnt use to the electric stove! I didnt have a pressure cooker to make beans so my Aunt Linda from Florida brought me one and sent it with to me! Thank you A. Linda!!

Wow, so much has happen that it seems kinda like a dream. Thank you all for those who have blessed me in every way! So that I can be here and take what I learn back home! I would appreciate prayer so that I can find a job soon, it has been hard getting a job and for many people in the school too and with the economy down like it is. Next week is Thanksgiving and I will be going down to Sacramento for a week with a friend from school...not sure what I will be doing during the Holiday, Christmas break...but hopefully something good! =)

Blessings!
